Hi,
It seems that Tomboy (http://www.gnome.org/projects/tomboy/) could not
run on my Fluxbox on Fedora 8.
The log of Tomboy is below.

Which is note-taking application able to run on fluxbox?

Cheers,
M

Hi,

simple answer: you set something like "Mod2 F11" and something like
"Mod2 F12" in your keys file for fluxbox. This seems to get in to
tomboy's way (what a stupid application), but this are just warnings.

Simple solution: Just unbind your fluxbox keys or change them in tomboy.

At all this should not be the reason for not being able to run tomboy,
this should only run tomboy without the right keys.

tenner

Hi again,

if you have not a single key bound to those Combos mentionen, then I
don't see a reason for fluxbox getting into tomboys way.

Does it work in other wms like pekwm, openbox, blackbox and such?

I don't understand this since an application doesn't care what you have
on your keys.
I'm quite sure this is not even related to fluxbox at all.

tenner

I have disabled hotkey but I does not get the note on the desktop. A
icon appear in sys tray but I cannot see my notes such as a yellow
"post-it" on my desktop background.

Maybe the problem is this:

[DEBUG]: Unable to locate 'gnomesu' in your PATH
[DEBUG]: Unable to locate 'gksu' in your PATH
[DEBUG]: Unable to locate 'gksudo' in your PATH
[DEBUG]: Unable to locate 'kdesu' in your PATH
[WARN]: No GUI 'su' tool found
[DEBUG]: Failed to find all system tools for SyncUtils

Any ideas or alternative note-taking applications for fluxbox?

Hi,
It seems that Tomboy (http://www.gnome.org/projects/tomboy/) could
not run on my Fluxbox on Fedora 8.
The log of Tomboy is below.
Which is note-taking application able to run on fluxbox?
Cheers,
M

"post-it" on my desktop background.

Any ideas or alternative note-taking applications for fluxbox?
I recently heard about tomboy:

Tomboy is a desktop note-taking application for Linux and Unix. Simple
and easy to use, but with potential to help you organize the ideas and
information you deal with every day.

The key to Tomboy's usefulness lies in the ability to relate notes and
ideas together. Using a WikiWiki-like linking system, organizing ideas
is as simple as typing a name. Branching an idea off is easy as pressing
the Link button. And links between your ideas won't break, even when
renaming and reorganizing them.
