[Fluxbox-users] Opening App on Specific Workspace doesn't "work"

Greetings,

In my apps file I have created the following entry:
[app] (name=VBoxManage)
[Layer] {2}
[Workspace] {4}
[end]

When I launch: VBoxManage startvm "WinXP" the application startsup
fine, but doesn't start on workspace 4.

I renamed workspace 4 from "windows" to "4". I also changed
(name=VBoxManage) to (name=VBoxManage startvm "WinXP")

Still no joy. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on
getting this to work.

Using fluxbox 1.1.1-8 on Debian Squeeze.

Many thanks,
AM

Try to use the window remember menu of that specific app.
Saves you time of searching for the right name, class, whatever.

Try to enable "Workspace" and "save on close".

This should work flawlessly.

Indeed it does, work flawlessy that is. I wasn't aware of this option,
thanks for the tip!

I didn't know what you meant by app, class, but now I see that in my
apps file there is a new entry with the correct settings for this
particular app. Again, many thanks.

Best,
AM
