[Fluxbox-users] cpu and net monitor for Fluxbox

The only thing that keeps me in Icewm over Flux right now is the cpu and
net monitors that come by default with Icewm.
Is there anything comparable for Flux? - I know there are a lot of
monitors out there but none which, to me, are as convenient as the ones
which sit in Icewm's task bar. Has anyone found a good way around this.
I am not looking for something which sits in the "slit".

Thanks for any suggestions

How about conky (http://conky.sourceforge.net/), most distros have it
installed. Attached goes my ~/.conkyrc that just shows the
information I want and looks like part of the backgorund, :-)

Tried conky once a couple of years back but I had trouble getting it
to play nice with my then-nvidia card.
I'll try again and see if I like.

Thanks for the file.

I use lxpanel for that purpose with cpu graph, battery and lan monitor. The
fluxbox panel takes 93% of screen width, while lxpanel takes the remaining
7%.

Maxim

I used to use gkrellm a few years back....but found it a bit of=

overkill when I really just wanted to monitor input/output on my
eth0 connection and cpu activity.
I'll try a stripped down version with bassically only that and see
how it goes.

I was used to a simple dockapp called allin1, available on dockapps.org.

I've tried others but i'd always go back to allin1.

Sure the last release was way too long ago, but may still work fine...
