[Fluxbox-users] looking for a pager for fluxbox multiple-desktops

Hello. I come across fluxter which is a pager for fluxbox. However it
doesn't work for me on fluxbox 1.1.1
~$ fluxter
Local fluxbox config file: "/home/zhangweiwu//.fluxbox/fluxter.bb"
Default fluxbox config file: "/usr/share/commonbox/fluxbox/fluxter.bb"
Cannot connect to window manager

Since fluxter doesn't have a mailing list on their own I ask here. What
pager do you recommend to use on 1.1.1? If fluxter, what should I do to
fix this problem?

I've recently hacked at fluxter to make it work with fluxbox 1.1.1. You can
download this version (0.2.0) from
http://www.hydrus.org.uk/downloads/fluxter-0.2.0.tar.gz.

Let me know if you encounter problems.

In fact I just went back to fluxbox 1.0.0 and found fluxter also doesn't
work on 1.0.0.

I switch back to fluxbox 1.0.0 because there is a strange problem with
1.1.1, that cause windows keep flipping (pop up one after another),
occasionally triggered by Alt+Tab switching window or switching desktop.
In such case the only way to stop it and make fluxbox back to work is to
switch to console (Ctrl-Alt-F1) and back. I at the moment don't have
time to try reproduce/file/follow/test the bug thus I simply rolled
back. I will upgrade fluxbox later, maybe after other people tested it
and made it more stable. Sorry, I'd like to be a tester but had a lot of
pressure from my daily work.

I just think, that it could be related to Chinese Input Method. I always
keep SCIM (a Chinese Input Method software) running there. Anyway, just
guessing.
