[Fluxbox-users] adding keyboard layouts

Hi All,

I am using fluxbox 1.3.1, and I installed cairo-dock with it. What I
couldn't make work, however, is the keyboard layout settings. I would
like to switch between three different languages. I have a keyboard
indicator in cairo-dock, but I can't make it change the keyboard layout
for me. Does someone have a clue as to what is missing here? (I would be
glad, if I could add a keyboard indicator to the fluxbox taskbar, but
after searching the net for a solution along those lines, I have to
conclude that that is probably not possible.)
Cheers,
Zoltán

In .fluxbox/keys, use setxkbmap (and/or setxkbmap -query alongside
zenity or whatever notification daemon you want)
or did I misunderstood something ?

Greetings Raph,

The setxkbmap keybinding worked, the problem is different. For some
reason, cairo-dock doesn't notice when I change the layout, it always
shows the same value. In any case, I have given up on cairo-dock,
because there were quite a few glitches with it.
Is there a reasonable dock for fluxbox? I could write one, but if there
is one out there, it would probably be simpler. Fluxbox's toolbar looks
cool, and it can also retreat, but you just can't put anything on it.
Cheers,
Zoltán
